Hello all,

I am using the ADXVMA alerts V1.05 and really like the indicator because it is drawing Arrows up/down on my 8 range chart. My problem is that the arrows are drawed but 3 bars later. Is there any possibility to draw the arrow on the actual bar (3 bars later is really to late)? I try all possible options for the indicator and always the same result... 3 bars too late. If there is no other possibility, then is there any other indicator similare to this one but that will draw the arrow faster?

Thanks...

Look for the RMOsystem if you like Arrows but keep in mind that arrows don't mean to enter when you see it.

Arrows, like many indicators, will only pop after 3 closing bars in a row or a break of some sort.

Price action always rule and is not late and lagging! so I encourage you to learn it.
I don't know anybody using arrows in a winning strategy but I know so many traders who got rich with price action.

One hard part of trading is EXECUTION!
It is hard enough to execute a trade on the fly, no one needs late arrows to distract us but I understand your need to study it. You may however miss the true utility of ADXVMA.

I'm using ADXVMA_Sharkypaint every day. It's a moving average that stays flat (like no other MA) giving you some interesting yellow dot levels where you can expect price to bounce 1 tick from it in the next retrace ( once the yellow dot period is finished...look to play the bounce and enter a limit order 1 tick from the prior dot level when price comes back to it...good on 8 range ).
I also use it to color my bars.

Also when trending, the touch of ADXVMA is a continuation entry to me.
For the newer version with alerts....I don't use it because I never found alerts to be useful at bringing profits in a live account like price action do.

Keep experimenting with ADXVMA in a new way

Hello Pico,

Thanks a lot for your answer. I fully agree with you. Why to use a lot of indicators to show already what the market is showing? Price action is the secret. I trade generally with 3 ema, no color, and volume indicator, nothing else. It is really enough for my reversal-strategy. I am trading the YM, 5 min chart, and try to catch some reversals I was looking at the adxvma, because I think it is a really good indicator, but I was wondering why the arrows are displayed 3 bars later... Now I have the answer.

Thanks a lot.

Frederic
