previous version you had 2 icons to start NT. one nt7 and the other one nt7 64-bit. plus in account connections you could enable the 64-bit version. now it says 32 and 64 version.
found this in the release notes:
64-bit NinjaTrader
We have added native support for running NinjaTrader in a 64-bit environment. During installation, NinjaTrader will detect the presence of a 64-bit OS and install both 32-bit and 64-bit application icons on your desktop. NinjaTrader will fully utilize a 64-bit multi-core environment especially in the area of strategy development and optimization. There is a catch in that not all of our broker and market data adapters provide native 64-bit DLL's thus however, you can still use the 32-bit version.
In the post Fat Tails made I couldn't see anything about 64-bit selection. I went to NT site to find the release notes, but they've redone their site and I couldn't find them right off, I will look later or if someone has a link to the official release notes that would be great. I'm just curious.
Sorry Silvester, I am blind - where in release notes do you see this about the 32/64 bit stuff (being able to choose your version), I am not seeing it.
