Hello,

I'm looking for an EasyLanguage Support Resistance Fractal Levels Indicator like this one:

wwwDOTtradingviewDOTcom/script/RQnLfaNE-Swing-high-low-support-resistance-by-Patternsmart-com/

It is based on the Fractals indicator, but it draws lines instead of one dot for each fractal.

There is an old metatrader indicator that does the same thing, called Kay Support Resistance, or Barry Support Resistance.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I think the Chaos Fractals indicator comes with Multicharts.

Compile the indicator and the two functions below in TradeStation.

Chaos Fractals:

Code
[LegacyColorValue = true];

Inputs:		Strength(2);

value1=swinghigh(1,h,Strength,80);
value2=swinglow(1,l,Strength,80);

if value1>-1 then plot1(value1,"BuyFractal");
if value2>-1 then plot2(value2,"SellFractal");

SwingHigh:

Code
inputs:
	Instance( numericsimple ),
	PriceValue( numericseries ),
	Strength( numericsimple ),
	Len( numericsimple ) ;

variables:
	var0( 0 ),
	var1( 0 ) ;

Value1 = Pivot( PriceValue, Len, Strength, Strength, Instance, 1, var0,
 var1 ) ;

SwingHigh = var0 ;

SwingLow:

Code
inputs:
	Instance( numericsimple ),
	PriceValue( numericseries ),
	Strength( numericsimple ),
	Len( numericsimple ) ;

variables:
	var0( 0 ),
	var1( 0 ) ;

Value1 = Pivot( PriceValue, Len, Strength, Strength, Instance, -1, var0,
 var1 ) ;

SwingLow = var0 ;

Hi @olobay!

Thanks so much for this... unfortunately, TS gives me a lot of errors on this code. I'm not super proficient, so possible I'm missing something obvious... do I need to adjust this for EL formatting-wise? Also "numericsimple" is not recognized.

Thanks for any additional insight.

Cheers,
Lee

I don't have TS so I don't know. You try Google and check this too:

Lee,

it sounds like you might be putting all three codes in indicators. The latter two are functions and already exist within Tradestation. So would only need the first code.

Apart from that you can take a look at the built-in ShowMe Fractals that might do what you have in mind, too.

Regards,

ABCTG

I looked at the link, aha, that's basically just automatic levels. At that link it's not really using fractals though, just swings of a large strength. I actually coded my own fractal swings, so they're real/actual fractal swings, and then for levels you'd use the 1st fractal swings. I coded the automatic levels too (in MC easylanguage) -- it draws a horizontal trendline. BTW, by "1st fractal" I don't mean the minimum swings, but the larger swings based on those minimum swings.

I was actually thinking of packaging up my code one of these days, when I find time, and maybe even selling it for cheap. Since it's in MC easylanguage, I won't be able to sell to the huge NinjaTrader market though. IDK if anyone would even be interested. You know how things are -- even if you think something is awesome and you use it alot, others may not.
