if you think about it, you will find out the following: When a candle closes above VWAP the new price added is higher than VWAP one candle ago, so the VWAP will be increased.
For an anchored VWAP the two conditions are identical! And your VWAP is an anchored VWAP, which means calculation of volume weighted average price starts somewhere and no values are dropping out, when new values are added.
