I got a similar banner this morning saying "You are not receiving important emails since December 16, 2020"
but I still get all the notifications every day. and when I click on that link (UserCP - > Direct Messages), there's no automated response. also I do use gmail
Thanks. I believe that was the huge Google outage day that caused a ton of issues. I had to modify our database to correct things, and you are exposing a hole in that plan.
I need to give this some thought on how to best correct it. Some combination of polling Mandrill for current status of your email address, and updating our database. Let me think.
I already received a bunch of emails this morning, after the last newsletter went out and that new notification went live and a bunch of members saw it.
I know it can be annoying but so is not being able to reset your password when you lose it (believe me, this happens a LOT!) because you can't receive emails. It's also annoying to not realize you aren't being notified if you are being mentioned/quoted, or receive DM's.
Thanks to another couple of member reports, I found another way to improve that. It wasn't hard once I had the workflow down, basically for the cases where you are getting a notification - but you are recently (still) receiving emails, the system is going to auto-clear and reset automatically now.
Thanks for reporting. I am quoting you which should trigger a new email for you. If you receive it, the system will reset your account and you should be good to go. Let me know if not.
