I am planning to switch from Futures trading to Options on Futures to enable me do my position accumulations without pematue stops and to avoid maintenance margin when I need to hold beyond the close. I am accumulating longs out of the money calls at dips and accumulating OTM Puts at the Rally. Mainly long only style for the ES or MES and short only for the bonds.. anyone trades options on futures and can provide their experience and advice is highly welcome to participate and we can form a daily journal as a team for that style of trading. In general any strategy that is adopting Options on Futures or Commodities that are liquid.
