So, I've been seriously frustrated about the fact that there are keywords that can only be used by strategy code, but not by indicators. Like MarketPosition, CurrentContracts, AvgEntryPrice, etc. However, I was just reading in the EasyLanguage essentials and they made mention of keywords that may be used in similar manner in indicators. This is the first I heard of it. Then, I stumbled upon an example of code (EL std code: Strategy Equity). Within the code was a keyword "i_OpenEquity". When I looked it up, I found several other "i_" keywords. In fact, many of them would seem to be the indicator counterparts of their strategy keyword brethren. So here's my question...

The explanation for i_OpenEquity is "Returns the current equity" Does that mean it returns the equity for the strategy that is loaded and turned on within the chart? Or something else. Please clarify.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Sinatra Fan,

in general the reserved words starting with "i_" can provide values from a strategy applied to the same chart.

Regards,
