It's July 2020, is IB still the default preferred broker for Canadians?

Looking to trade futures from Ontario Canada... any recommendations on broker/data feed? IB seems to come up a lot, what about others? Would also like to use a good DOM (Jigsaw or Bookmap). If CDN traders use IB, do they get data from elsewhere?

In July of 2020, Interactive Brokers requires a net worth of 100,000$ in order to trade futures. I am still looking for Canadian brokers that trade futures, but have a less severe net worth requirement.

@LeftShoe... for starters might put
< canada > or < canada broker > in the Search box in upper right.
And check out Edge Clear, they gave a presentation recently on FIO and I think that said they do. Ironbeam and Optimus Futures do too I think, off the top anyway...

Ironbeam gives Canadian accounts same as US people. That too, $500 account for day trading ES and NQ. Check it out.

I use Ninjatrader 7 lifetime license and they gave me Rithmic data feed.

are these brokers like GFF Brokers, AMP trustworthy? Like their websites are so shady. also on scamadviser AMPfutures shows as completely risky.

I am new in CANADA, and after a lot of intensive research on how to get into the US markets, I recently opened an account with IB but they require a lot of margins to trade eminis, etc. I was ok with it since it didn't seem like there was no other better option than it.

Recently I got to know about AMP, GFF, etc offering very low margin requirements. Since they aren't in limelight and their website looks sketchy to me like I haven't seen any brokers website like them before , will I be ok to trade or are these good legitimate brokers ?

I was contacted by Ironbeam.

Apparently, you can go with Ironbeam & Rith(multicharts/ninjatrader) platform if you are Canadian.
The intraday margin will be available.

[I wrote out a long post about trading through a futures prop firm but deleted it after you clarified you're mainly looking for a broker that operates in Canada.]

Cheers
