I will continue to use CQG and have moved to Jigsaw as my alternative. My charting needs are basic and my DOM needs surpass my charting needs. Even more so after discovering a major error in the SC recent bid/ask trades DOM columns.
I'll end up paying more to stay with CQG and transition to Jigsaw, but I am partly doing it out of principle because I hate paying rude and arrogant jerks such as the SC owners.
Motivewave Order Flow version's One-Time Payment is $595 USD, SC package 11 is 46 USD, let's do a math: 595/46=12.9, what this mean?
It means that if you trade more than 13 months, then SC will expensive than MotiveWave.
By the way, at Black Friday or some holidays, many platforms have discount.
And my US broker AMP Futures provides "Free Full features" Quantower, and Multicharts(C#, not Easy Languages version), so you can use them with zero cost.
Life is full of compromises, isn't it? They compensate their rudeness with a great product imho. They also give great support once you ignore some of the off the cuff remarks.
Thanks so much. I was just checking out Sigma360 since my broker suggested it, but I am not happy with it. Sierrachart is awesome in many ways for me, it's very flexible and user friendly, so in all likelihood, I will stick on to Sierrachart.
Recently upgraded to Package 10 as required by Sierra Chart and switched to their CME exchange data to get live Denali data feed. Now when I enter a trade it defaults to simulation mode. I am logging on to "CQG web api" first and the connection looks good. Then I log on to "SC Data - All Services" which gives me live charts OK.
With AMP I have switched to "Sierra Chart - Denali - CQG (No Data - Order Routing only)" data feed.
But checking on the Live Trading Credentials on AMP web site it says I am on "CQG (No Data - Order Routing Only)*
Anyone still using CQG have any idea what is wrong? Has AMP set me up incorrectly?
I had the exact same problem with SC and live trades going to SIM. In my case, I had Edge Clear clearing thru Dorman and all trades were bouncing back to SIM. Edge Clear checked with Dorman and they reinitiated everything. Once that was done, everything worked perfectly. I was also using Denali but with the Teton routing. I'd check with your FCM (AMP?) and make sure your routing is setup correctly..
