Hi, I am not sure that this is the correct sub category for this question (didn’t find a better alternative unfortunately).

When doing automated algorithmic trading using multicharts + IBKR as broker, do you experience technical errors with limit orders? Is it better to always use stop orders ?

I'm working for the first time ever to automate several of my strategies but not gone live yet so I'm not a lot of help at the moment, Gabriel. But since we have the same platform (Multicharts and IBKR) and working on the general problem of automating trading. I might have some useful thoughts in the near future.

Can you give some specifics? Are you writing strategies in PL? Are you using the MC built in strategies? What type of instruments are you trading? Stuff like that.

I expect to start testing of a strategy next week using the IB simulator. Give me a shout back and I may have some useful thoughts by then.
