I've been playing with it, not seeing any order execution settings. Also not seeing any videos regarding it, and I think I just watched them all, not too many.
Was considering this platform in the future, can I ask what is it doing?
The order execution info in Tradovate is a bit buried - it's not labeled as "settings" per se, which trips people up when learning how to use Tradovate for the first time.
Here's where to look:
Orders Tab (left sidebar -> Orders -> All): This is your full audit trail - working, filled, canceled, and rejected orders. Rejected orders show in red with a reason attached. This is where you diagnose execution behavior, not in a separate settings panel.
Fills Tab (left sidebar -> Orders -> Fills): Shows every fill with timestamp, quantity, price, and order type. Worth knowing if you trade CL or SI - thinner markets can generate partial fills, and each chunk gets its own row here.
Taking Partials: There's no dedicated "partial close" button. To scale out, right-click your open position in the Positions tab -> Trade -> Sell (or Buy for shorts) -> enter the quantity you want to close. That's the native way to do it.
ATM Brackets: In the order entry panel (chart or DOM), there's an ATM/Bracket section for pre-configured stop and target. All three legs appear in the Orders tab.
For deeper how to use Tradovate documentation, support.tradovate.com is the official resource. @Tradovate also has a presence here if you hit platform-specific snags.
Have a good weekend!
