Made $20 today by trading the micros just so it counts toward my trading days. But I made over $4200 trading my usual way on SIM. I can't wait until that's my real money!
I know that I said I wasn't going to update until I am completely funded but between having ADHD and being a Gemini if I don't stay consistent I'll never come back once I stop. So I am still going to post so that I stay consistent. Due to the US jobs report this morning the market dropped like 70 points and it's still going down. One day soon I will be able to profit off of that but for now I'll have to place my trades in sim.
It took me a few hours yesterday to get set up and I treated trading like playing with a new toy. I took trades at times when I don't usually trade and setups that weren't my usual. Lost a few thousand and closed it before I blew up my account. Got my money back today so tomorrow I will consider my first day trading. I want to make my first withdrawal by the end of next week so hopefully I can trade well enough to do that!
WELP ES ran straight up 70 points today and I got ZERO of them. Due to retracing and tight stop losses I got stopped out of every single trade. Didn't win even one of them. Also...since I am funded I don't have access to my usual tools like doubling up since I only have access to 5 contracts. I also hit my daily loss limit of $4000 and I only have about $500 left to trade with. I am completely discouraged but it's no one's fault but my own. There was soooooo much choppiness and then I was correct in my direction but it just kept retracing. Then I would enter on SIM and win but that means I was too late on live.
I can't trade anymore today anyway so I'm done. And if I don't do well on Monday I'll have to start all the way over from the beginning. I've also heard of some traders who don't trade on Friday's at all so maybe I should try that.
Nice work. Philly boy, eh ?
How about posting some trading stats too: win rate, avg win/loss, # of trades, Avg time-in-trade, time-in-market, max drawdown, etc.
So I lost the funded account on the 3rd day because of the trailing drawdown. I completely forgot that it moves up whether the trade is successful or not. I should have been checking my trailing drawdown in Rithmic after every single trade but I literally just forgot. Now I have to start all over!!
