If I'm trading Micro Crude (MCL) and Micro E-mini (MES) during the first two hours of the London session (8-10am London time), I'm not sure whether I should avoid trading during the London bank holidays or the US bank holidays...or both?

I watch the full contracts (CL and ES) but execute in the micros.

I'm not sure how much influence the London traders have over CL and ES??

Any advice appreciated

Why don't you look back the holiday charts for the last 2-3 years ago? That's what I would do in order to decide.
As a rule I never trade on a holiday in the US although I'm in Europe. I want volume and participation of the largest worldwide economy.

Its very low volume during that time, so its easy to get caught on the wrong side of a trade. the Markets are really thin and the manipulation of price is pretty rampant. Depending on your skill and trade plan, you can sometimes make a killing, or be killed. I personally tend to trade when its a true trading day!
