Anyone here use or know about IB's Client Portal API?

I have connected already to a few broker's API but IB's seems to only support Windows servers and not Linux servers.
Am I missing something?
Has anyone used it with a Linux machine?

Hi, thanks, but this isn't what I was asking about.

I want to use the API, not TWS.

The API if you are not familiar is basically a method to connect a computer/server directly to IBKR's server and execute orders using third party or custom built software.

Client portal API should work on linux.

you have different options on linux you can run Client Portal API or you car run IB Gateway or TWS. (note that with one account you can only have only one session active )

IB Gateway can be run in a desktop environment but also headless if you are handy .

you can check the EasyIB project on github, it is a wrapper over the portal Api and has some more information.
