In my prior 12/09 post I didn't really show good comparison with equal min imbalance values. Here is a more representative apples 2 apples with the only difference being an active imbalance (numbers mode) vs inactive (profile mode). On minutes 56 & 57 @ prices without imbalances, you can see the numbers mode shows colored delta histogram bars whereas in the profile mode those same price levels are missing colored delta histogram bars:
What a day..........spent some time on the beach during the shark attacks. Left Profile is NT8 Volumetric 1 minute; Right is FootprintV2 1 minute in profile mode. Also screenshots of each respective settings templates. In hindsight seems to have been a moment in time where we were oversold (per my bag of tricks chart RSI) and exhaustion/absorption Delta/imbalance:
Best of both worlds?
VolumetricNT8_FootprintV2
Maybe leave well enough alone.......

DAY 2 Nice calm day to watch side x side both NT8 Volumetric & FootprintV2. Seems their histogram bar format compliment each other visually where the NT8 profile (left) shows Delta and Mike's FootprintV2 (right) displays similarly but just imbalances. Check this out:
Looks like together for those visually oriented left histo of delta while right histo of imbalances can indicate possible exhaustion/absorption for a retracement fade entry with the trend? BTW I compared Mike's imbalance calculation to NT8's and looks like Mike's 0.3 imbalance min is roughly equivalent to NT's 1.8 min. the difference being V2 is a ratio to the total diagonal greater net of BOT/SOLD deltas where as NT's ratio is only the greater BOT/SOLD. I think:
As always Thanks Mike the histogram is beautiful for us numerically challenged no matter how you got there; look up how the slinky was invented.....history channel Toys that made America Great.

I was wondering if an ALERT can be provided also for the VOLUME - not only for the imbalance?
Additionally - the numbers figures of volume on top of profiles cannot be configured it seems and are super small...is there a way to add a choice of Font Size?
what a wonderful job and generosity to provide this code for free to all here .
thank you mk77ch !!!
through the hint of Stone78 I have found an indicator that I think is a great addition to the theme volume.
it is called volume filter and can be downloaded here:
i am trading tick charts with the better indicators from Barry Taylor
2
left 4500 tick, middle 1500 and right now FootPrint
the blue bars are the proffesional bars
now in combination with the volume filter showing the delta and the FootPrint chart i can find important levels
much mor better as with the proffesionals alone
last week, 30-12. at the opening, my time 15:30 big circle and delta,
at 15:50 circle right at the lows
