Hi there,

I am trading fixed income products since 1.5 years.

I am mainly focussing on ZN / ZF & FGBL / FGBM.
I have been trading for a prop-shop and have made a training program in London.
The most important thing I have learned is that communication is key. It is sometime boring or frustrating not to find a trade within hours.
Therefore I would be grateful to get in touch with traders that are focusing on fixed income products also.

Lastly, I do trade mainly orderflow patterns and some clear defined chart patterns.

If someone is interested, drop me a PM or write an answer here.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone whos interested in it.

Cheers!

MMC

@MMCger sounds like you are selling services. Are you a vendor?

Because you mentioned 'trading for a prop-shop and have made a training program in London.'

If you're not that's no problem, but if you had you would have had to register as vendor.

Hello: I trade the UB exclusively. Used to trade the ZB but volume and activity is better on the UB. I'm also an order flow trader. I use primarily volumetric bars, cumulative delta divergence and a volume delta indicator from Ninzacators. I have Jigsaw running, but don't use it too much.

Yeah, I know what it's like to wait for a trade! Can be frustrating. I confine my trading to just prior to bond market open, market open and the first hour of the NYSE session, although I'm usually done before that session opens.
I follow the ES on a 5 minute chart. It used to be that the inverse relationship between the bonds and the indexes was fairly reliable. Not anymore. But I like to know what's going on in the broader market.

I took John Grady's courses and live trading sessions years ago. They were helpful. But in the end, you have to put in your own screen time and come up with your own strategies. Order flow is key in bonds. Learn your instrument inside out and upside down and you can come up with a working strategy.

Reliable strategies can be devised trading bond futures, especially if one can learn to spot inefficiencies in the yield curve.

Yes.
I love Yield curves trades. Some weeks ago there was this near all time high spread between 2 and 10 year.
Unfortunately I missed it due to lag of knowledge about calculation.
But yield curve trades are awesome.
