I've been on the forum for a while but not very active due to a tight schedule.
I started trading some 6 years ago with crypto. Than I lost a consistent amount of what I made because I didn't know how to short!
For the next years I stopped trading and focused on trading algorithms and built a system that helped me to: back test various ideas, create a dashboard to keep an eye on the market and various tools that I use when trading (e.g.: automatically calculate the trade size based on input parameters, integrate trading view with my backend system etc)
Since about a year now I actively trade. And I also shorted the markets this time. )
Tried short term time frame but settled on daily/weekly to be able to combine it with my profession.
I am recently retired and have begun to trade full time to fill in where retirement income stops. I had tried trading in the past part time around work, but it really didn't work as I think trading required a very high level of dedication. I am becoming more consistent trading mostly NQ and CL. If I prove to myself that I can make money for the rest of 2023, I hope to move on from trading micro contracts to mini's. We will see what the journal looks like....
My name is Yemi, based out of Toronto.
I have been interested in stocks and futures for a while. Life has happening so I haven't had as much time to delve in fully and start trading futures
I actually operate in the commodities & solid minerals trade, so I am well informed and do alot of research with regards to pricing and news. I try to stay ahead of the curve when we are doing transactions between manufacturers, mines and suppliers in general.
I am really interested in learning how to trade successfully to make decent and gradual profit.
Will definitely appreciate any help, suggestions as I a complete novice when it comes to the process of trading futures.
