Dear group, would anyone know if there exists a "source code profiler" tool for EasyLanguage? Some tool (or technique) to check the execution time taken for the individual statements of a strategy would be very useful in finding bottlenecks.

Thanks!
Shawn

Shawn,

the StopWatch class might be helpful for you. Additionally, you should be able to find various user created performance timers in the official forum.

Regards,

ABCTG

You could add a statement to add the current time after each instruction into an array, Then print the array later.

This would include the time required to write to the array, obviously, so I would enter some value two consecutive times to measure how much time it is taking to write to the array.

Thank you sir...I've already implemented something like that where for each statement I'm summing up to an array item, the elapsed "ticks" it took for that statement to execute.

Cheers
