Is there a more precise way to control Market Replay? Using the slider to get a start time and hitting pause to stop it, kinda sucks. As an example, I'd like to be able to enter a start time of 09:00:00 and an end time of 13:30:00, then press GO. Is there an add-on that would allow something like that?

The replay generally sucks but it is the best NT has.
I use it occasionally, here are a two ways to get what you want.

One way is to create a custom template for "Trading Hours". You can create a custom start and stop time instead of using the default ETH or RTH hours. (I don't prefer this method).

Another is to start the Playback connection.
In the Playback box right click and choose Go To...
A window will open and you can select the date and the time to start the playback. You will still need to stop the playback at the time desired to stop or create the custom "Trading Hours" above to stop the session.



I usually use the start Playback method and then use my custom scripts to stop the trading test after a certain time, profit, loss realized.

I'm not usually doing a playback to 'allow' it to run but if I use it, I am doing so to test a strategy, or an edge and not being at the keyboard is not an option for me.

This is about as close as I have found. https://tradedevils-indicators.com/products/bar-replay-strategy-tester. It is not too bad...takes a little bit to get use to and they have good support.

Thank for that. I actually have that but I'm testing strategies that enter and exit trades intrabar so that won't work for me in this situation.

I just want a start time, stop time, and a GO button. Then tweak strategy settings and Hit GO again. I'll tru the cost, trading hours.

I recently learned you can right click and click “go to” and select a precise time. Right click on the playback window in a couple places until the menu comes up.

On the Market Replay Panel, right click to bring out the pop window and select "Go TO".. Here you can select the Start Date and Start Time...

Click the Play icon to Start. Be patience, NT takes a bit of time before it starts running.

Unfortunately, there's no End Time. Hope this helps.
