Today Just 1 Trade taken I am aiming for progress not perfection, But I am starting to see that boredom is very good in trading however it can try to convince you to do things that are not in your own best interest.
I played around with the idea of going back to Nasdaq today because profits have been slow on the Dow until I realized my data shows me that profits are non-existent on the Nasdaq so stay the course.
I will stay on course I am committed to being a dow trader, just interesting how my mind or boredom can play tricks on me,
I will continue just making small steps in the right direction daily.
Today's trading was disciplined, and I gave 2 attempts to a end of day reversal thesis.
Neither worked so the -80 points is never fun however I approached the markets with a professional mindset and didn't go on tilt after being stopped out. Just more data to review.
Something that has really changed in my trading is losses are part of this losing das are part of this and trying to force every trade to be a winner will only result in blowing up accounts.
Halfway through august doing a report of my first half of the month. I have noticed I keep my calm really well and have had no problem taking losses, I do still have an urge to add to a losing trade from time to time however, I still have not revenge traded lol. I have decided to do 30 trade samples of each of the index to see which one I trade best as this new trader I am developing. I think this will finally close the chapter on my professional development and really accentuate my data driven approach to my profession as opposed to an emotional driven analysis.
