2. and they make it soo complicated so icant even find out how to connect both togather
anyone can help
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thank you i have it working. i have data from AMP Clearance and also a demo account with NinjaTrader. The data form NinjaTrader is accessible by jigsaw but the data form AMP is not. Is htere a way to get that data too?
I personally never heard of AMP Clearance data feed. If you are referring to CQG data from AMP in that case yes you can connect.
User the link from the previous post the steps are listed there.
Once you created CQG connection in NT8 you can connect jigsaw tool via the Bridge. Watch the video how it is done.
Something to be aware of.
Jigsaw DOM can only be open using one data feed when it is connected via the bridge.
If you need same trading product to be open in both data feeds you need to open two DOMs.
What would help if you explain the problem and people can tip with solution.
It just doesn't make sense to me why do you need Demo feed being connected and you need live feed being connected at the same time.
If you just practicing create a workspace in Jigsaw for Demo and another workspace for live trading.
Another thing to be aware is you connecting Jigsaw directly to data feed and then connecting NT 8 to the same feed one will be disconnected. This is why you connect NT8 and Jigsaw via the bridge.
Or you can simply connect your NT8 to Demo account and Jigsaw directly to you CQG data feed. The reason you have Jigsaw product is because you are executing the trade in their DOM right ?
I was trying to set things up the way I used to, but it looks like a few things have changed. CQG through AMP still works, but it doesn’t feed data into NinjaTrader through the Jigsaw Bridge. The bridge only works if the data is coming from NinjaTrader Brokerage.
So the way I understand it now:
• If I want to use Jigsaw with NinjaTrader charts, I need either a NinjaTrader brokerage account with data, or a NinjaTrader data subscription.
• Once NinjaTrader is getting its own data, the Jigsaw Bridge will work properly.
• Because of that, I’m planning to cancel my CQG data feed through AMP, since it won’t help in this setup.
Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding anything — but that’s how it looks to me right now.
Yes, you got it right. You still can connect Jigsaw to CQG directly if you want to.
This is why I was surprised why do you need two data feeds It is also better to get data from NT8 if you planning to use them as a broker.
The bridge architecture matters here: when both Jigsaw and NT8 connect directly to the same CQG feed, you're creating competing subscription streams. CQG's gateway sees duplicate connection IDs and can throttle or reject one of them. The bridge exists specifically to solve this - NT8 owns the connection, Jigsaw consumes through the bridge, single stream to CQG.
Watch for a specific failure mode: if the bridge service stops but NT8 stays connected, Jigsaw will try to failover to direct CQG connection automatically. You'll get partial data (some symbols work, others don't) because CQG's per-user symbol limit is now split between two connections. Symptoms: working fine, then random "symbol not available" errors on instruments you trade regularly.
What's the actual use case for running Demo and Live simultaneously? If it's practicing execution while monitoring real prices, there's a lower-risk approach: Demo workspace with live data feed (no trades), separate Live workspace for execution. Reduces the connection complexity.
