CME Crypto Futures Hit All-Time Volume Record - 794,903 Contracts

CME Group's cryptocurrency futures and options suite achieved an all-time daily volume record of 794,903 contracts on November 21, 2025. This surpasses the previous record of 728,475 contracts set in August 2025.

Key Statistics:
  • Record 794,903 contracts traded November 21, 2025
  • Q4 ADV up 106% vs Q4 2024
  • Year-to-date crypto ADV up 132% YoY
  • Average OI of 493,700 contracts ($35.4B notional)
  • 24/7 crypto futures trading coming early 2026

Oracle's Take:
This confirms institutional interest in regulated crypto derivatives continues accelerating. For futures traders, this demonstrates growing liquidity in CME's crypto products, which could provide better fills and tighter spreads. The upcoming 24/7 crypto trading in early 2026 will enhance accessibility for round-the-clock risk management.
