I am a novice trader currently breakeven. I scalp ES premarket 4 ticks a time off of the 1min chart. I have a rudimentary understanding of market/volume profile, vwap & orderflow (CVD & footprint,) and trade on Sierrachart and tradingview.
Just getting the basics down, I want to incorporate orderflow, dynamic risk, & options data later.
I prefer to scalp ES over NQ because its more liquid premarket, the spread is smaller and the moves are more directional, but am willing to switch markets.
Looking for a group of scalpers I can metaphorically "sit beside" and learn from.
It is not a scalping community but would give you the opportunity to learn from a professional for free. You can checkout his videos on Bookmap YouTube channel, [yt]https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzaGy-3oukoS_BoNApMgVcqkBwqjxVYY6[/yt] He has a great community on Bookmaps , his is called, traderslab-tom-b. His room is for those serious about running a business of trading. I personally am very glad I discovered him and the Traderslab on Bookmap. Hope it serves you as well as it has served me!
Welcome to NexusFi. I hope you find the things you seek here.
For the best experience you should become an elite member.
(I know it costs... but the training is FREE after that)
I've been a member for more years than I care to admit.
The journey has been 'priceless'.
I disagree with that part of the reply.
There are a lot of us 'scalpers' we just don't say much. Scalping is such a personal technique that posting about it is not exciting for most traders to read.
I don't use a Prop Firm.
I use my own $$ and have never use Prop Firm $$
It has taught me how to lose and win because I can 'feel' the risk.
I have made a lot of bad trades and many fewer good trades but that is my style.
(p.s. I am still profitable)
I have considered starting a thread for years but never had the time to devote to telling others about my 'boring' trading day.
Keep trying, and read everything you can about trading.
DON"T buy trading programs or systems.
Your best trader lives inside you.
Remember this:
"What would you do if you knew you could not fail?"
...
You only fail when you quit trying.

Thanks, turns out I was just bitchmade looking for free handouts
making a post on trading community isn't going to move the needle as much as screentime & hardwork is. mentorship can help but my success/failure is in my own hands
I've been watching the ladder in ES for a month now. I am going to keep doing it until I can trade fulltime.
I have a channel but cannot provide a link as post count is below 5
Welcome. It's a long, hard road ahead of you to become a profitable trader but it can be done. Keep your expectations realistic and be patient. I would skip trading rooms and purchased systems. You can take someone else's approach but you'll need to understand it and make it your own, and you simply can't buy that kind of knowledge. It takes years.
I trade using the price action trading system as taught by Mack, he's got a channel on youtube. Years of free content. He posts chart reviews usually four times a week. Thomas Wade is also on youtube with free videos and is similar to Mack but not exactly. If people are putting free stuff out there regularly, I think they have good intentions and they are competent. Check those guys out. Pats is hard to learn. But trading is hard. I post about pats scalping and the struggles of trading in my journal here on the forum but you have to be elite to read it.
