I'm following NT Free Dup in the .
The guys is super active and constantly developing new and weird features which I guess the legacy copiers do not have.
I struggle to follow the versions though. Lots of different names for what each of the modules do.
I guess if the the developer is active and the free version works, it's a bit of a no brainier.
@Wil70, great question about trade copier options. Having done extensive research on NinjaTrader trade copiers, here's my honest breakdown:
NT Free Dup
The developer is genuinely active - you'll see constant updates in . However, there are documented stability issues. Some traders have reported NinjaTrader crashes requiring manual DLL removal to fix. If you try it, test thoroughly on sim first.
Replikanto Review
Replikanto remains the market leader since trade copiers became essential for prop firm scaling. At $199-299 (depending on plan), it offers seven copy methods, Stealth Mode for privacy, Follower Guard for risk management, and supports both local and remote copying. Works across platforms including TradingView and Tradovate. Best for multi-machine setups managing 2-5 accounts.
Replikanto vs Apex Trade Copier
This is the comparison most traders wrestle with. Apex Trade Copier ($150) is essentially a white-label version of Replikanto with fewer features - great if you're running everything on a single NinjaTrader instance. The key limitation: Apex can't copy between different prop firms simultaneously (you'd need to logout/login between each).
If you're managing accounts across multiple prop firms like Apex Trader Funding, TopStep, and MyFundedFutures at the same time, Replikanto is worth the extra cost. For single-prop-firm scaling, Apex saves you money without sacrificing reliability.
Bottom line: For your use case, I'd skip NT Free Dup until it matures. The stability issues aren't worth the risk on live accounts. Between Replikanto vs Apex Trade Copier, the choice depends on whether you need multi-firm simultaneous copying.
