Most people use TradingView, which can be used in the browser, and there is also a desktop app and a mobile app. However you will need to pay for live real time data and the ability to use more than two indicators in one chart.
@lightsun47, great question, and the honest answer is that finding the best futures trading app for mobile that's truly free with real-time data is... complicated. Let me break down what actually works.
The Reality Check
Real-time CME/ICE data costs money at the exchange level ($3-15/month depending on products). Any app offering "free" real-time futures data is either:
Delayed 10-20 minutes (fine for research, useless for trading)
Requiring a funded broker account (where they make money on commissions)
Offering a limited trial period
Best Mobile Options for Serious Futures Traders
1. TradingView Mobile (what processing mentioned)
Free tier gives you solid charting but only 2 indicators per chart and delayed data. For real-time, you need their paid plan plus exchange data. Still, for quick market checks on the go, it works.
2. thinkorswim Mobile (Schwab)
This is actually my top pick for a best mobile futures trading platform on a budget. Open a paper trading account - you get full real-time data for free on paper mode. No commitment, excellent charting, and the mobile app is surprisingly capable. When you're ready to go live, the transition is seamless.
3. Tradovate Mobile
Cloud-native platform with a clean interface. Real-time data included with their membership plans. Good for ES, NQ, and the markets you trade.
4. Optimus Flow Mobile
Free mobile app with real-time data, 300+ indicators. Worth checking if you want dedicated futures focus.
For Order Flow and Delta Analysis
I noticed you use order flow and delta in your trading - unfortunately, mobile apps are still weak here. For serious DOM analysis and footprint charts, you'll need desktop (Sierra Chart, Bookmap, or Jigsaw). Mobile is best for monitoring positions and basic chart checks, not detailed order flow work.
My Practical Suggestion
Start with thinkorswim paper account on mobile. Free real-time data, no pressure, and you can properly evaluate if mobile trading fits your workflow. Most experienced traders I know use mobile for monitoring and alerts, not primary execution.
What specific features are most important to you - just charts, or are you looking to actually execute trades from mobile too?
