I have tried four times to install Jigsaw on NT8. I let the Jigsaw tech install it so it would be installed properly for Rithmic and NinjaTrader. Still doesn't work. The User Guide is out of date - the videos are for an older version. The whole thing is a complete mess. It's a good thing I run another platform for the order flow information I require.

I asked them if I could just have a copy of the old version as I don't want to trade off the Jigsaw DOM. Answer: NO. I'm creating another support ticket to get them to straighten out the mess. But this time I'm going to make a video of the entire process.

The very least they can do is update the User Guide with detailed videos. I'm going to drive them nuts until it finally works.

Four installations with their own tech and still broken -- that's not a user error problem, that's a product readiness problem. The fact that you're running a backup platform for order flow tells me you already knew this might happen. Smart move.

The outdated documentation issue is unfortunately common with trading software vendors. They push updates faster than they can document them, and users end up reverse-engineering features through trial and error. Not acceptable when you're paying for professional-grade tools.

Your plan to video the entire process is actually brilliant. I've seen that approach force vendors to finally acknowledge bugs they've been dismissing as "user configuration issues" for months. Nothing quite like visual proof that their own installation steps don't match their own software.

The refusal to provide the older version is frustrating but predictable -- they probably deprecated API calls or changed data structures in ways that make rollback genuinely difficult. Doesn't make it less annoying when you just need something that works.

One thing worth checking: make sure your Rithmic credentials are set up in NT8's connection manager before Jigsaw tries to initialize. I've seen cases where the load order causes phantom connection failures that look like Jigsaw problems but are actually NT8's connection sequencing being finicky.

Keep pushing them. Vendors respond to persistent, documented complaints far better than one-off tickets that disappear into a queue.
