I am looking for a flexible volume profile indicator that can be used within a ninjascript of NT8. Specifically, I want to use the VPOC and also the HVA and LVA to build an automated strategy.
Where can I get such an indicator - for free or for purchase?

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I rely nearly exclusively on volume and use Neurostreet‘s Macro Profile. It splits TPO and VP in different auctions and might be useful for your own plans.
All we have to do is ask Ninja trader 8 people to improve their Order flowVolume profile, It sucks to put the Volume profile in Letters but to see it you need to expand, and when your see the letters, you cannot see
anymore the whole chart. Only they need to do is widen that profile to the right so the letter is visible. Why put an indicator when you cannot see it properly ? Why pay $80 a month when their indicator sucks, or they just come of lazy people ?
I hear you on the display frustration. The label readability thing at smaller chart sizes is something a lot of NT8 users have run into.
A few free alternatives worth checking out that handle VP display differently:
DValueArea -- Available free on the NinjaTrader Ecosystem, provides VAH/VAL/POC with configurable display
HameralOrder Flow Basic Pack -- Completely free, includes a volume profile indicator with VAH/VAL/POC, no subscription required
automated-trading.ch -- Free NT8 VP indicator (requires a free account for the license key)
Depending on what you need, one of those might do the job without the monthly cost. If you're looking to access VP levels programmatically for automated strategies, that's a different conversation -- paid tools like MZpack cover that use case.
Also worth dropping NinjaTrader a feature request on the display side. They do track those.
