Go live when sim results roughly match the backtest over 100+ trades. Automate if the rules are mechanical, otherwise use a checklist. Open a separate account so the P&L stays clean.

Fund it with at least 1.5-2x your worst historical drawdown, money you can afford to lose. Start at one micro contract and only scale up once live results confirm the edge.

Set your quit rule in advance, like stopping if drawdown hits 1.5x the backtested worst case. Compare live stats to the backtest weekly, and tag every trade as "followed system" or "error" so you know which one is failing.
