I don't know if he was using stops but I know he was loading up the boat and would hold over the weekend. That's what got him, he had a bunch of YM contracts and the Dow gapped down huge. Honestly, if you hold a handful of cars over the weekend what do you think is going to happen?
I know the guy has bounced back and has some new computer trading system. Hopefully he goes out flat each day and doesn't hold a bunch overnight/weekends like he used to.
Hey Jeff...I see you've gone from candles to bars on your charts. Is this anything to do with Al Brooks? Just curious, I have ordered the book an patiently waiting for it to arrive!
No particuliar reason for switching to (OHLC) bar charts instead of candles....sometimes I think the bars clean things up a bit.
Well ....the "WORM" is back.........I missed him. Note the paintbar study on the 15 range bar chart (worm) dodger blue long, red short. I'm also back to my previous chart periods of 10 range bar for trading and 15 for anchor.
I'm glad that the "EminiViper" is working for you.....However, I did want to take a moment and explain what I did not like about this company. First....when I watched their demonstration of the product the presenter did no know how to use the Ninja " Arrow Line" this lack of mastry of the Ninja platform did not impress me. Second.....their support and resistance lines are calculated from midnight instead of the opening of the globex session(this renders them useless to me) And last but not least......they were showing trades that were executed during news releases and acting like it was responsible trading.
On top of this I had seen everything on their charts somewhere else for free. If you read my post on link #253 you'll see that I posted that I basically liked their approach....I still do...and I still would not pay $100.00/month for it.
I have to agree on a lot of this. I noticed that they didn't know where the machine ID was found in Ninja, and the pivot issue finally was resolved today, by a user.
I think a lot of that was due to they started on the Esignal platform and had just switched to Ninja. They have matured quite a bit, and I think they are offering a lot of folks far more then many out there for a reasonable financial deal.
Hard to say how long I'll stay with it, but right now I am pleased.
