Just thought I would post to add that for those considering a provider switch because of this, I personally have been using Rithmic through Optimus for about six months now and have been very pleased with the combination. In fact the last two months I've been having my live connection run 24 hours a day with NinjaTrader 64 bit and I think I've only seen it disconnect maybe 3 times, after which it immediately reconnected automatically. I believe Optimus also provides historical data, and in fact I noticed that starting this month I also appear to be getting historical data for RBOB and BRN, which I wasn't getting before (although I still can't trade BRN). I was on TT before this and can say that Rithmic appears to be much more stable as a data feed with very few disconnects or issues, for those in the market.
Anyway as others have attested I would suggest giving @mattz a shout if you're looking for a replacement or alternative, and best of luck to everyone having to deal with this situation.
Think big, think positive, never show any sign of weakness. Always go for the throat. Buy low, sell high. Fear? That's the other guy's problem. In this building, it's either kill or be killed. You make no friends in the pits and you take no prisoners. One minute you're up half a million in soybeans and the next, boom, your kids don't go to college and they've repossessed your Bentley. Are you with me?
There are a lot of questions so in the interest of being concise and to the point, please accept these facts in bullet point form:
Mirus is not referring customers to alternate brokers
ZenFire for the forseeable future will not be available
Mirus will transition their NinjaTrader clients to the Continuum technology for market data and order routing services
Continuum is a division of CQG who has been a leader in high quality market data distribution for over 30 years
NinjaTrader/CQG worked together to integrate our products/services and this combination has been in use for many years through thousands on thousands of users. It's rock solid.
Information on how you will connect to Continuum will be provided by Mirus to their customers starting today (it likely will take several days for all customers to be contacted and connected)
As always, my team and I are here to help these clients transition
We appreciate your patience. I believe the end is near and that all disrupted clients will be back to business as usual soon.

Dear Mirus Futures Customer:
As you are aware, your account was introduced to Rosenthal Collins Group ("RCG"), by Mirus Futures LLC ("Mirus"), a registered independent introducing broker which is located at 215 W. Ohio, Chicago, IL (312) 262-1227 (Contact: Eliot Wickersheimer). As an independent introducing broker Mirus cleared its accounts through several registered futures commission merchants ("FCMs"), including RCG and Dorman Trading LLC ("Dorman"). However, Mirus is now a guaranteed introducing broker of Dorman, and so must clear all of its accounts through Dorman.
Mirus plans to move your account from RCG to Dorman on or around close of business January 21, 2014. If your account moves to Dorman, then Mirus would continue to be your broker and would service your account, but your account would now be cleared by Dorman, which is located at 141 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago IL 60604, (312) 341- 7041( Contact: Daniel Dorman).
If this is acceptable to you, you do not have to do anything. Your account will move to Dorman and your account statements will be furnished by Dorman.
If you want your account to remain at RCG, transferred to another FCM, or closed, you must notify RCG (located at 216 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago IL 60606) either by email at [email protected] or by calling Heather Krakora at (312) 873- 0727 prior to the close of business on Tuesday January 21st. We will then assign you to an RCG broker who will service your account or, if you choose, we will move or close your account.
We invite you to call our office at (312) 795-7545 at any time with questions you may have regarding this change.
Sincerely,
RCG Compliance
Last Friday, I put in a wire request to wire all but $2 of my Mirus RCG account contents (small account anyway) to my TradeStation account. In normal times, Mirus wire out same day if you get the wire instruction in by 11am local, which I did.
All their phones lines are busy and voicemails full; neither their Treasury nor Sean Reilly are replying to requests for clarification, essentially "WTF is going on ?"
If they are holding onto my $$$ to transfer it to Dorman so thay can offer a soluttion, they should have called and asked my permission. If they are going bust, I'd sure like to know.
This is disgraceful.
Sean, Eliot : call me NOW : I emailed my cell phone number to you 1 hour ago.
Very upset customer & rightly so.
wow, thanks for posting that,
that is a very personal and private letter, and these forums are searcheable even on google, scroogle, and moogle, so essentially you have shared that letter with the world, in this lifetime and in the next too...
either way to sunday the clock is ticking as its just before 1pm Eastern time US, and just before noontime Chicago, where you have to register your decision to prevent that transfer.
choose wisely...
this is a massive fiasco, very similar in nature of an internet denial of service attack
As a longtime Mirus customer I was also hit with the Zenfire issue, and the unprofessional way Mirus has dealt with this situation.
I have since made extensive inquiries as to a suitable and reliable broker together with good clearing houses (I am with RCG), as well as offering of different solution to go with Ninja Trader.
I have come up with Canon Trading Company which seems to be able to comply with the strict condition I am looking for together with a wide range of options.
I am putting this forward here as there still maybe many of you who are searching. I found them to be very professional, polite and efficient together with all the options as above. They have been in business since 1988, offer all possible datafeeds to Ninja as well as 10+ other platforms.
