If you guys ever get the chance, watch the vietnam veterans video and/or the smoking vid's! They are fantastic... Vid's on sexual abuse, smoking, pests, war trauma, fears, etc... awesome stuff...
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Regarding EFT, we have two upcoming webinars with psychologists in them. Dr. Gary Dayton on Dec 13th, and Denise Shull in January (still trying to schedule). You should ask them both about EFT.
Not all but most psychotherapists tend to relegate EFT's and Logotherapy. Not sure what these guys think but will be interested to hear. I will try to attend since the 13th should be slow...
blue i sent you a PM when you get a chance. Let me ask have you looked at the thread on trading the TF with the CCI. Just curious if you looked at it to see if it can compliment your MACD approach.
Yes, I have evaluated every single trading method known to man... haha...
Indicators do nothing more than show price action of the past. What I am working on is reading price action without focusing so much on did the indicator tell me this etc..
So, I would say, instead of adding MORE indi's, I am on the path to less and understanding what actually moves the market prices etc.. I believe Market Profile is junk, indicator trading is a coin-flip but spending time with the instrument and truly following good MM and trade management is really the key to success. Only trading in areas that others feel is an 'area'. Something my impatience keeps me from doing 90% of the time! haha...
I still believe the MACDBB Multi-time frame is the most effective I have seen in gauging the runs with small stops. I have evaluated probably 500+ trading systems on Forex and Futures.. if not 1,000....
I learn from all of them, but at the end of the day, simple trendlines, support/resistance, patterns etc., good trade management, proper R:R, and following the indicators you choose to follow are the most important.
Basically, I did a good job on my first trade, after that I was counter-trend trading for a bit, hit the pivot back down and moved my STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moving my stop cost me 4 points from gifts.... If anyone wants to learn what not to do, watch this week!
I finally did get back in (it would not fill me again, so I had to chase chase chase!). I held it through 6.5 points run, then it retraced almost all the way back up, then it was back down to 8.0 points and I just left it alone. Well, it came back up and knocked me out for an even 6 points (yes, I moved my stop finally). (For some reason this wasn't as difficult to do as it usually is...)
I thought it was going a lot lower, but I guess I am not patient enough to wait for that.
I give myself a B+ overall for today.
A for seeing the proper trend direction
B for hitting a nice pivot down
F for moving my stop to BE+1!!!!!
D for getting chopped to bits and not being patient
A++ for getting short again and HOLDING MY TRADE for a very long time through a good retracement!!!
If only I could have gotten though without those 4 points and I would probably be up around 5.5 points. That is where I am headed. It is taking me some time to get comfortable taking the longer runs, but I am adjusting.
I didn't do EFT's today as I was groggy getting out of bed, but tomorrow I will. Oh, nevermind, I don't trade Friday of contract switchover date. I told myself I would trade today's market but just for 30 minutes.. haha... I guess I didn't listen to myself.
Dude, here you go and I help this explains it. I think you could use this on smaller timeframes no problemo, but most of my testing is 1HR and above. Just an example of one of the many ways to make money or to lose it. haha...
This requires Price Action/Technical Analysis identification of certain patterns, but with higher charts it is easier to do in my opinion.
