I prefer to stick to NT7. I dont like NT8's crashes and the rest of it's operational problems. A friend of mine is also suspicious about NT8 and is wondreing IF the cause of these NT8's problems (crashes, etc) is any "spying" software (which obviously does not exist in NT7). I, myself, dont want to think about it, but I am very scepticist... We will see in the future... Until then I prefer to be conservative and stick to NT7 which is a very good and reliable software. This is my opinion. Thank you.
I, generally, agree with you about NT8's problems. We, the traders, want a finalized and highly reliable trading software to trade, and, certainly, we are not obliged to contribute (loosing our money and valuable time) - by frequently reporting/refering the various issues and damages - to the solution of the various technical problems a software has. However, I think NT7 is a good and reliable trading s/w for real trading. Thank you.
I have converted my trading to 8... SIM22 (really bright guy) and I developed some cleanup utilities that really make it run very reliable and responsive. There are still a few quirks, but Ninja is taking care of what is reports. SIM22 posted his file that cleans the cache only. My bat file deletes both cache data sets and deletes both sets of day, minute and tick data. I run the batch file every time I shut down, so a clean startup. It refreshes data on connect. My biggest concern is converting a few of my private indies over from 7.
It is True: Ninjatrader 8 not ready for prime time.
My experience today is when horizontal line overlapped with active order, when I tried to select order line, it only selected horizontal line. Back to NT7 for live trading.

@NinjaTrader, how about an option to make this cleanout automatic?

I have converted the simple ones.... I am having issues with the time based originals.... I need to study and play with the OnStateChange vs the OnBarUpdate... I am close to having them work, but not quite there yet.... Also, it has been an opportunity to justify which are worth converting. I have not been able to get the converter engine on the NT Forum to work for me.... but then again, I am not the brightest LED Bulb in the pack.....
