I finally heard from Ninja. They suggested doing the OLDname, NEWname thing with the spf file. Did that. Didn't work.
Deleted the latest version and installed earlier version of NT8 We'll see how it goes.
Something very wrong with the platform.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I switched to Rithmic SIM data today and used the Rithmic DOM to compare. Almost zero slippage. Compared to 10-12 pts at NT. So the issue is somewhere in the NT system. No idea what but nothing else I can do as I have been asking them for months.
I did not read the entire thread, so I don't know if this has been discussed exactly?
But if you guys compare how the price updates on a DOM for example, to the price updates that occur on a chart... can you guys notice a difference?
When I look at at the bid/ask on chart... it looks like NT is aggregating some amount of price changes... instead of showing your every single change of bid/ask that you would see on the DOM.
It is difficult to tell, as there appears to no longer be a static DOM in NT.
EDIT---
For the sake of eliminating the issue with 3rd party indies... it would make sense to see if this difference exists on a naked chart and naked DOM. If taking that into consideration, do you guys notice a difference?
I have noticed when I restart NT my lag time is .01-.06(which is good) after running for 10-15 mins...the lag time creeps up..... .9 -1.2 now take a trade and add to it..lag time start to really go to hell..... 3-6 secs add more just starts to add up 9 - 10- 12- 15-20 secs.....platform is worthless when that happens charts falling far behind....and thats when the DOM could say 1200+ and you end up with 120......at that point you have to close out and reload NT so you can be good for another 15-20 mins.....was getting ready to go live.......but not with those numbers......have installed the latest and greatest NT....see if the condition persists..
As a follow up, I have been studying Footprint charts for quite some time and this is basically the 'indicator' for me that something is not right with the data. Until 2 months ago, my Footprint charts (set to Bid/Ask) would print with price executions on both sides of the bar. Logical. Since whatever changed with the data, they only print all Reds on one side or all Blues on the other. Sometimes all I get are zeros on both sides. Clearly this is impossible to have 0 trades for 5 minutes or whatever on the ES. Makes no diff if I trade with a real account or SIM, the charts/info I am getting is 'off'.
