I noticed you were FF'ing the video while recording live commentary which was really cool. What software do you use to record your day and then create your videos? I've been looking at a some stuff but being a complete neophyte with editing... well let's just say I'd like to make videos as easily as you make trading look Thanks Lance.
Hi there. I have a really low tech setup..which is kind of sad, since I'm a fairly recent film school graduate. Had some short films that were in festivals..but my trade videos don't show any evidence of that..lol
I just use something called Screen Movie Studio. It has a little player that I just scroll through when forwarding the videos. Very basic. If I ever decide to make more professional looking ones, I will probably do something a little more sophisticated.
Thanks for the compliment on the trading.
I know you mention in the video, "held out for a little bigger target", but in general do you use the same profit target for every trade if you let the trade hit your target? If so, how many ticks is it?
No, I vary the targets depending on the amount of volatility and momentum that I'm seeing.. and support and resistance. I like to get 40-60 ticks if there's a very strong move underway..When there's less 20 ticks works well. NQ moves in these little bursts and then quickly retraces. I try to maximize the little bursts before it does those quick reverses. Many times, I just close out the trade manually before a target is hit, if I feel it's struggling..or hitting a level it will bounce off of.
