I really appreciate the effort you have made here. I find your site rich with info and very well maintained.
For my part, after developing software for traders for many years, finally decided to turn pro a while ago, and having gone through all the heartaches and ups and downs, finally figured out what it takes to be a good trader:
Patience and Detachment.
Hope I can contribute to the site when the time comes.

Hi all, just joined today and looking forward to chatting to you all and learning some new stuff, Mike forum looks great and full of info so will be searching the threads over the coming days.
I have been trading 8 years now, trade ES mainly and had a hard time at first but things are a lot clearer now, I took many market Profile courses and studied Order Flow and that has made a big differance on my results, but still a long way to go.
My name is Adam, i have actaully been trading since 1994, I feel very old. I started my career at Goldman's in 1993, I then went to UBS. Since 2005 i have been trading my own account, i live out in the middle of nowhere which is great when it comes to concentrating on the markets.
I mainly trade Options (It was OTC Forex options i did at GS and UBS), but i also trade alot of CME Currency Futures for hedging.
I tend to give all my hard eraned cash back to the oil market although I have managed to avoid that for the last couple of years.
I avoid stocks and indices trading i would rather sweep the streets.
I joined futures.io (formerly BMT) to try and fill a cap in the market, there is a huge gulf in the market from ex-bank traders to new guys starting up. futures.io (formerly BMT) seems to have the most market worthy folks I have seen on here. Personally i dont want to hear about guys moaning how when they traded the pit this move would of lasted 70 pips , or newbie's asking which way round EURUSD is quoted. futures.io (formerly BMT) fits the bill and im very happy reading threads from some quality market traders.
Hi everyone
I am about a year into trading and have already blown an account.
I hope to gain more discipline and experience from the senior members
Cheers
Hello,
I have been dabbling in trading for about 4years with small gains and then blowing out.
I am currently looking at trading futures in a small way and right now mainly trade stocks intra-day.
My hope is to gain some insights on what fits me and developing a workable strategy, and develop the ability to follow my plans - I have a habit of running stops way too close, by not planning trades adequately.
Like the look of the forum so far - came across it on a random search.
My Name is Sean, and I have been trading on and off for a while but have to honest and say that I am looking for a direction to trade consistantly and profitably.
very apreciative of this forum and hope I can be part of the community.
thanks to all
I’m from Flanders the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. My English is very basic. I'm just beginning with Velocity. I have 16 years of experience in trading stocks. In the next 3 months i will paper trade, mainly with E6.
