i did a screenshot of the entry. this was the situation i clicked into. u can see clusters of buyers who were no longer interested in buying for higher price
i was little bit late in the trade, because i was not at the pc. it could have (and it should have) been taken couple of ticks lower. still, the price was ok to fit into the risk. i just came to pc, saw this situation and without a second of thinking, i clicked into it. this is something that i take instinctivelly, automatically, without a spark of hesitation - 100% repeatable entry.
schizophrenic entry.. before open i had an idea the markets should move up, but i took this short on ym because i liked the interemarket situation with trapped buyers.. anyway, it ended up on sl.
the point is that the loss in not big, - 170 usd is a nothing. we should be able to accept we are wrong and take a loss. it is quite hard sometimes. but it is critically important. if i "believed" i was right, i would have taken much bigger loss couple of minutes later
taking (small) losses is absolutelly necessary for stable trading results
i feel like a damned scalper. but the volatility is low today, so i need to adapt. and i need some profit becaue i had a loss yesterday. timing entry based on the abusion of sellers´ intermarket liquidity. pretty lucky close of the 2. trade, this is why i like fixed trademanagement..
price was manipulated to new highs, tempting high sellers to sell. i take long against them.
today´s nasdaq behaves in a special mode - a bigger buy subject quotting limit side is abusing retail traders and manipulating price - it is a dangerous environment, that is why i took only 2 contracts (and i got a negative slip when closing the first part - liquidity vacuum)
after open at 8:36 there was a valid long situation i tried to catch it but i could not
@Nirk Agree, lot of HFT manipulation in ES emini today too. HFT took advantage of short sellers trying to cover by posting big offers and blasting in markets. Apparently, they wanted to get short from the 38.50 to 38.75.
maybe, i havent seen footprint charts of es so i cant say. from what i see on price action, from the very open es, ym and emd were corelated and in a narow range - very introvert state. nq is much more volatile and much more open to talk to me:-)
in the moment of my entry there were clusters of predictible sellers who have to lose
the whole day today nasdaq is overpriced - it brings a "good opportunity" for selling. that is why i am buying. this one was at the lunch time, i was eating in a thai food restaurant and opened my laptop just to check the sentiment. nq was surprisingly volatile at that time so it made sense to click. i rarely trade over american lunch.
timing entry based on sellers exhaustion. the footprint chart shows the sellers extinction. also, you can notice very strong negative delta (sellers´pressure because nq was higher compared to other 3 us idexes). this was a nice situation so i open 5 contracs
