Part of our new webinar framework is a way to better control all of the data, end-to-end, which enables us to do better notifications for upcoming events, like this:
That is being displayed to the right side of posts in some bigger threads.
It only appears when there is an upcoming event. With @Rrrracer's help, we aim to have a full schedule of two events weekly (we consider that "full").
I'd like feedback on how we can improve this particular notification of an upcoming webinar. We are constrained to this amount of space. Let me know how you would change it, or what other information you would want to be included or excluded. etc etc.
Whether this is feasible or not, I don't know, but if you're asking for suggestions I would propose a simple toolbar or dropdown box with a handful of essentials. The grin, the wink, the frown, the thumbs up, whatever. The llamas and their ilk, meanwhile, can be kept in another stable, preferably near the back of the property where they won't disturb the neighbors.
This has already been put in place, thanks to some constructive smilie complaining that has already done. Click on the smilie icon at the top of the posting editor window, and a panel of common smilies will show up at the bottom of the page... this was the default (without needing to click on the icon), but was changed and then restored. Check it -- I just did to be sure, and it works.
I am not so much the smilie warden as the smilie complainer, which I have done, as is my job.

Your username title might change to smilie warden lol
I believe that he is saying that the list that shows up prior to the link for 393, is "bad". He wants different ones there. I suggest someone (perhaps a warden of some sort) count how many show up and then decide which exact ones should be there instead... and then I'll see what I can do
Perhaps someone who has the ability to run a sql query could find out which smilies are the ones that are the most often used, and base the list on that.
Just a suggestion....
