Wow, gracepips, what a story. You've been through a lot but it looks like you're going to 'make it'. It also looks like you're on the right track to being a successful trader. Best of luck to you and welcome to the Forum. Big Mike has done an excellent job here and is also a very helpful and knowledgeable trader and person. There are many others here who also fit that description. Keep us updated on how you're doing.
Thank you for sharing and being so honest. Most people struggle with depression at times but yours seems more severe. It is certainly not an easy game (trading) but money management is one key you have down already. I see your biggest issue is your thinking about being a "failure". Most people fail at this (for various reasons) but even the profitable traders have failing trades all the time but make money based on risk/reward. If you can handle that you should do well. Good luck!!
Penny stock trader have lost my share of money but have made some too. Still learning will move to big boards soon, much easer to trade and less riskey too. Not too good of a speller but when you trade stock spelling can be second. I am allways willing to help all you have to do is ask, but rember if I say it going up and it goes down that is the name of the game I make mistakes too If I did not I think that I would be rich by now.I live in WASHINGTON STATE and love to Fish and hunt and trade right now I am a unemployed construction worker, welder, equipment operator and truck driver jack of all trades. Will good luck to all and happy tradeing
Traded options 6 years ago did well (just lucky to find out). Long story short serious lack of education busted an account and my spirit. Now I have returned. I attended some courses at online trading academy to get the basics and a broader understanding. Encounter a few kick ass instructors that actually made sense and was not afraid to trade in front of you.
So here I am trading the YM,ES, NQ,6E, 6A. System is based around Fib work. Primarily Scott Carney and another guy by the name of Jeff Manson. Projecting the right edge of the chart. SMA lines are the only indicators.
I am constantly exploring new theories is this realm and would love to discuss them with any that are interested.
I am also an avid reader of just about anything market related and the discipline associated with it.
Look forward to sharing my experience and gaining more
Glad to have found Big Mikes forum. Have looked around and it seems that Big Mikes mission is going strong creating a meaningful forum.
Have been into trading for almost two years, but it was not until half way of this where it acctually got really serious. My start was kind of strange, because I literally did not know anything about trading at all, but something told me that this is what I am going to do in the future. Which turned out to be true. Have never put so much effort into something in my whole life. With it's diversity of markets and in analytical terms it is defenitely the most challenging, exciting, and interesting thing I have ever done.
As all of you know it can get pretty serious for long periods, so lately I have desided to turn my head upside down once in a while to mix in some crazyness and humor.

I just bought the ebook....had to pay $197 rather than $97....but so far appears well worth the money. Have not finished reading it yet, just on Vol 3 at the setups. Has it helped in your trading?
