Rebuild and resync of the first replacement drive is underway now (no downtime, everything smooth so far). Second replacement will occur after first is 100% finished.
Datacenter is requesting additional time before replacing the second disk.
So, in the meantime, I am doing additional maintenance that will require a short amount of downtime. I apologize in advance, I will try to limit the downtime -- but expect between 15 and 30 minutes. The downtime will start in approximately 1 hour.
I will be providing updates on Twitter, be sure to follow us.
Guys, still working on some maintenance and disk replacements. Trying to do it during off-peak hours, but it is 2am here and time for me to get some sleep myself.
Work will continue tomorrow.
Sorry for the downtime for the last 30 minutes, I ran into an unexpected issue with mysql but I believe it is resolved now.
Server load will be a bit high for the next hour, leading to some small delays loading pages and the Downloads section being off-line until server load returns to normal. Approx 1 hour or less.
The worst should be over. I used the recent opportunity to go ahead and upgrade the core mysql version as well as the kernel, which needed to be done.
Now we wait, again, for the datacenter to give us the second cold spare disk to replace in our array, to get us back to 100%. Our array is online and not degraded, but a second disk is in need of replacing per SMART error reports.
We are scheduling maintenance tonight at 10pm Eastern server time. The site will be off-line while we replace this last disk, we are trying to be extra cautious by doing this off-line due to some problem we've been experiencing with the hot swaps.
I would estimate the site will be off-line around 2 hours.
Once again, very sorry for the downtime -- but this should be the last of it, if everything goes smoothly tonight.
Hey guys, so the maintenance began at 9:55pm Eastern, and is still underway. We are keeping the site off-line as a precautionary measure, but so far so good.
Currently estimating the resync will complete in 25 minutes, or roughly 11PM Eastern, at which time I need to reboot the server to apply the new kernel. If everything continues to go smoothly, we will then go back online and be done with all this recent maintenance.
Tonight, the entire Downloads section has been shifted behind-the-scenes to a different storage location internally. It was a seamless procedure with no downtime, and I am not expecting any issue -- but I wanted to document the change and ask that you report any problems with the Downloads area.
I guess I need a bit of help to understand what happened to me:
On Monday my broker statement Looked like this:
----------------------------------------------- O P E N P O S I T I O N S ----------------------------------------------------
…
the website has reformatted all the columns so the numbers are barely readable. This is nothing new and happens all the time.
BUT...
The email I received notifying me that a new post has been made, shows the post with everything in line correctly. I always assume the website was removing the tabs, but if the email is correct, isn't there a way to the site correct as well?
