I didn't install the latest version 8.1 over the previous version! As I said, this is a clean reinstall after logging into the new dashboard. so there is no
possible automation, I have to import the life key and that doesn't work!

Sorry for reading over that important point. Once you are logged into the Dashboard, if you click on the person avatar top right corner, then click settings and then find the "Plans" tab, there should be an Import button in there. Is that not there?

thanks for your efforts, ray! I imported the key there, the menu is also available! i really have to commend the NT support here. I think we just wait patiently - I'll report back if there's anything new!

It's one of the main reason I'm running both NT7 & NT8 too !
Moreover, NT7 programming is much easier than NT8 and conversion of NinjaScript NT7 indicators & Strategies to NT8 version not very convenient
As the new NinjaTrader Desktop uses cloud-based infrastructure, a connection to the internet is necessary to use the software.
Regarding data sent, NinjaTrader stores user session, length, data used, and feature usage.

So that's a fundamental change for current licence holders. We do not all work online, I personally don;t. So how is this going to be remedied for licence holders who essentially can no longer use the platform, I will not be able to access it...
Why weren't lisense holders made aware of this change that will essentially freeze them out of the system? This has a massive impact. Either you have deliberately decided to try and brush it under the carpet or you are genuinely unaware of the negative impact this will have on some of your current customers...whch one is it please.
To clarify, you may continue to use your current version of NinjaTrader 8 (or 7) in whatever capacity you were using previously - there is no requirement to upgrade or change the way you are currently connecting.
Licenses are unaffected as well...all these upgrades are optional.

So will current licence holder containue to receive platform updates for the offline version? Thant's great, for a minute I was worried. Please advise where the link is to downlaod the offline platform, I could not see it anywhere. Also please advise of where I can download future updates for the offline platform. Many thanks.
To download the software, create a NinjaTrader user account to log in and select “Download desktop platform” to access the download page. There you will find the newest release as well as a few previous versions.
A brokerage account is not required to access the download, but you will need a free NinjaTrader user account featuring a unique username and password.
Also, to clarify, to take advantage of the new cloud-based infrastructure, the new NinjaTrader Desktop will be prioritized for future updates.
