New to this forum. Been trading off/on for last 3 years. Have gone through the usual trading experiences of starting out with indicators, then trying to read the price action, then a combination of both. Still learning. Done a lot of backtesting of ideas. I'm a fairly good programmer with an engineering background, so I like the challenge of finding an algorithm that might help improve the odds in trading. Haven't found it yet. Looking to team up with other traders where my programming skills might be helpful.
Hello Mike and all of the great traders out there,
I'm very happy to have found such a fantastic group of traders with such knowledge and experience in trading the markets. I spent the last week trying different indicators you all have contributed and have found them to be very useful. Wish I could have joined this elite group much earlier.
I have been watching the ES consistently for the last two years and have a feel for it. I said "watching" more than trading it. My desire is to be a daytrader...I have no other income...so trading is not a hobby with me. I have literally spent all my savings on expensive internet gurus. I'm sure none of you have been that foolish. I have learned some things that work, but at an extremely high price. I've been through several of the normal newbie stages such as trying to make old lagging indicators work in today's markets. You won't find very many indicators like that on my charts anymore.
I pay attention to a 15 minute Gann chart (extremely precise) while comparing it to a form of Market Profile. I also use Fibonacci and use these methodologies together to see confluence. My trading style...is trading support and resistance levels. When I'm trading the levels, I'm not really waiting for confirmation. I was really glad to discover Gomi's Ladder and Delta Volume. I think it's the last piece I need...although I know there is so much for me to learn from you all. I look forward to meeting all of you. Don't hesitate to email me at any time.
Thanks again for all of you that continue to share your expertise with others. At some point, I hope to be a contributor too.
Hi Mike and all audience there.
This is Ismael 37y. from Spain, i began studying futures markets one year ago and also paper trading a little bit. I know this is a tough world but I would like to improve my skills. Interested in mini ES and Eurex.
I'm thinking to open an account, and i have some important questions for me in order to choose broker, platform, data feed.
In what forum must I ask this questions please?
Cheers

I am 35 yr old engineer from outside Chicago. Been trading on and off for about 10 years, steady for about 2. I started trading stocks but now I currently trade options on indexes. Someday I wish to day trade futures. I look forward to sharing and growing with a group of people that share the same passion as I. I hope to learn programming languages so that I can test my ideas.
I'm Steve. I live in British Columbia right on the coast (it is a beautiful place to live, even with all the rain). I have a day job with a large information technology firm, and travel a lot on business. I have been convinced for 15 years that day trading is my calling. 15-ish years ago I traded the big S&P futures and broke even (not bad for a total rookie who had no idea what trading was all about), until I got caught on the wrong side of a price move after a big FOMC announcement. Heck I didn't have a clue who the FOMC was! Ha Ha on me, and my bank account. But I never doubted that trading was my mission, ever. I've been getting ready to trade for the last 2 years, paying careful attention to the fundamentals (psychology, discipline, money mgmt...). I'm a lot more mature now with a far more balanced view of things, plus I understand the value of patience and time. I just ran into futures.io (formerly BMT) a few weeks ago and am stunned by the end to end integrity of the site and the members. I have never seen anything like this. To show my appreciation I immediately joined as an Elite member. It's not a status / ego thing, it's just to show appreciation to Mike and all of you who make this environment what it is.
See you in the forums, and good trading to all.
Steve
I'm Mike,
I live in sunny Gilroy California, I have been day trading for 8 years and I have sank my entire fortune in the market, I made the decision back then to learn and make a living in the stock market or go on welfare. Well after been busted many times over and not letting go of my goal and after I realise that success was staring me in the face with the set ups I have worked on for so long and they were giving me the signals day after day after day now I'm on the way to prosperity but first I have to build my equity.............See you at the forum ......Mike
