Cunparis, the value will depend on the tick size. 50 would be too large for ES. You should try 4,8,10 probably.

I was referring to CL. I'm testing out 15 now. What do you think?

It's definitely much smoother. Will take me some time to see if my setups work better or not. For the moment I find it very interesting.

Pete, I havent encountered any problem with MedianRenko charts over about two months of using them. Try it yourself and see... Jeff, I am curious how your indicators would work on a MedianRenko chart.... have you tried it ?

I have, and saw stuff on the bar size that didn't make sense. Emailed the author.

you might have to shut down and restart NT and then you should see it in the Format data series drop down box as another available type of bar to use. Try that.

OK...it works now....I went to Roonius' site...downloaded the Renko bars there and then the MedianRenko option became available in the FormatDataSeries Box. I have no idea why that worked but......you can't argue with success !!

I'm wondering why the close isn't equal to the open? There's often a big difference between the two.

I wrote a little automated strategy to test out an idea and the results are really weird because of this. I want to exit on the close but it ends up giving or taking an extra 10 ticks.
