Thanks . I was able to catch it in time and find the problem. The circumstances in which this happens are:
a) User is not logged in
b) User logs in
c) The first page after logging in is sometimes cached
d) That page is then invalidated immediately in the cache
e) The cache is not purged immediately, but once every 60 seconds, leaving the possibility for the page to be served even though it was invalidated
In any event, even if you tried to do something under 60 seconds (as you did), it would kick you out as an invalid session.
Regardless, this shouldn't happen. For now, I've increased the frequency of the cache purge to every 5 seconds.
I'll see if there is a better way to do this. It's an interesting problem in the way vb handles the login session cookie on the first page it serves after the user is logged in.
A change was made tonight to fix some bad URL rewrites left over from the BMT days. Should be zero impact in practice, just improved SEO --- but as always, please report any problems.
The last two or three email newsletters for webinars that contained a "Register for the event" blue button, seem to not be working suddenly on some platforms such as Office 365.
The big embedded image (the image snapshot of the event) link does seem to work.
I'm requesting feedback, please help:
1. What email client do you use
2. The email titled "The Best Way To Get A Career In Trading (if you can)" that was sent yesterday -- did the blue "Register" button work?
3. The email titled "November Journal Challenge is just getting started (open to all)" that was sent this morning -- did the blue "Register" button work?
Please let me know, and please also help us make sure these buttons are working in future emails -- and report it if not. It's pretty important for our success.
I fixed it by disable/white list ad popup for this site. All is well except the beta search is kind of slow It take a second or 2 to advance to the next page when I click on page number at bottom of the search result.
