Watching it, I saw two entries and would have generated at least 6-9 points today on those two trades. The long trade went from ~ 821 to ~ 825/6. The short would have been entered around 824 and exited about 820. Tick wise, looking at a weekly total of about 230.
No trades today, and I am sadder for it. Not really. This morning I had to fix an NT7 error on my home computer so I could trade and by the time I fixed it (it was a custom DLL error), I had an appointment to be at at 1pm, which got me home right after the close. I see 3 big trends today and a ton of movement. Will be replaying another instrument today to keep up to speed. Maybe the 6E.
First trade today and I got stopped out. Given how my basic NT7 doesn't have automated stops, it went far beyond my tick value before I could close out of the trade.
I saw alot of chop, and thought it was coming out of it. I went to 3-4 ticks in the money and should have closed out. There has been a higher range during the day, so I thought it would be going up there. Instead, it just tanked with a quickness.
-16 ticks on my first trade. And it continues to drop. Shoulda reversed the trade. Waiting for the trend to end on a level off before my next one.
Thinking it over, it was a pretty bad trade. I could easily see on the 3 and 5 min chart had leveled off and would be crossing. It was stubborn of me to stay in the trade.
I've attached a screenshot of what the trade looked like when I got into it.
I'm so pissed. Stop after stop after stop. My first trade was +12 ticks. Great, right? Well, guess not. Placed a short, it was placed on the wrong bar, and appeared to be out of the money. Price was dropping on my short and it was putting me more and more out of the money. So I reversed the trade. Went even MORE out of the money with the price still dropping. Awesome, let me tell you what.
Also, it seems that what I was trading on before is different and AMP didn't even know what I was trading on, as far as the order screen. They were pushing me to use the superDOM, something I've never used before. I've always used the chart trader. I figured it out now, too late to make a difference.
CQG was placing my trades on the wrong bar. I called AMP and they asked me what I'd like them to do about it. Uhhh....yeah. I'm switching back to Zenfire. I've never had such a bad day on the TF. I broke the 3 trade rule too w/ 4 trades. Killed me.
