Not really much to say. I was 17 when I became interested in trading. After getting married at 19 and more than a few, "I'll just be a minute longer's" to the wife I'm now 42 and still trading the markets.
I've had ups and downs but love the raw potential of the markets which keeps me looking at it as if it were brand new.
I'm a perpetual tinkerer with systems and methodologies. Have taken many courses over the years, bought tens of thousands of dollars worth of sofware and have learned a ton.
I have been learning to trade over a year now. Have not really traded much, just been trying to learn
as much as I can before I get my feet wet. Hopefully later on, with more experience, I will be able to
better contribute to the community.
I've been trading on and off for 10 years or so, but more intensively the last 18 months.
I studied EW and all the other indicators with mixed success, lots of courses, books etc, costing me a fortune!
Latterly I've been concentrating on Market Profile which has increased my understanding of how markets work.
I recently purchased NT7/CQG, and am pleased so far.
I joined futures.io (formerly BMT) a few days ago and tried to set up Gomi Volume Ladder but can't get it operating properly despite following the set up video.
Not sure that my user variables are correct, probably other settings as well.
I've searched various forums but a struggling to find clear rules.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
fairly new to the site, found a link from Ninja Trader forums, still looking around and trying out some of the great indicators etc... you all are sharing
I am trying to become more consistant and develop a strategy and plan that works for me in trading futures, I have found it very difficult to trade with increased size (more contracts) and it is something I need to improve on
I have been mostly trading a Sim account for several months and just a bit discouraged as I have an opportunity to trade live but something is just not clicking into place for me and until it does I am just plugging away.
I have mostly been focused on ES but see that others seem to find success in commodities and thinking about a switch but not sure, the thing is that when I do go live I will be limited to what I can trade so need to be in something that is always liquid and tradeable.
Well, look forward to exploring the site and thanks

Hi everyone,
I'm trying learning trading since a couple of yrs.
Realized, after have blown a couple of decent monthly salaries on CFDs, that I needed help with this. Went to a course, where the teacher taught a system based on crossing MAs and MACD. Tried that for a year on swedish index futures. The only one who got wealthy was the broker...
Now I have just finished a 3 month mentorship, am trading ES and CL based on price action.Doing quite ok now, but still a some mental problems, I still take trades that doesn't feel 100% right. Just some fine tuning of the brain left to do
