Does anyone know if the Price Action Swing Pro indicator could be enhanced by including plots for the current (or previous) swing retracement? Or, alternatively, is anyone aware of an indicator that will create plots for swing retracements?
I ask this, because for a strategy I'm working on, I've noticed that fibonacci derived targets work best, but I have no way to create an exit signal in bloodhound without something it can use as a plot and I'm not familiar at all with NT8 strategy creation at all.
I find that for me, Bloodhound and Blackbird are worth the money, as it expands the features available in Ninjatrader greatly. For example, at the present, I am developing a strategy that looks promising, but to find out how it would have performed, I need a way to backtest it and forward test it. To more efficiently accomplish this, I am creating the entry and exit signals using Bloodhound and then I can see how the strategy would have performed in the past and even walk forward test it live using a demo account. While there are other programs out there that can accomplish backtesting, I find using Bloodhound to be fast, easy and intuitive. As a disclaimer, I am just a purchaser and user of Bloodhound/Blackbird.
Also - I will admit that I have reached out to them rather frequently in the beginning for some assistance, and they are always very responsive even though I know they are very busy. My experience with their support staff has been stellar so far.
Regarding PASP indicator, it already has a feature to display swing retracements or extenstions to the current or previous swingpoints. However, it is only drawing them, and not providing plots. In order for me to "do something" with the displayed retracements in Bloodhound, I need to give it something, which is in the form of a "plot" which will expose it to Bloodhound.
You can activate this feature in the indicator configuration near the top by placing a checkmark for the option you want.
Thanks. In the case of IB is my broker, do you think the NT8+ Bloodhound +Blackbird will be higher than Multicharts +AdvancedStrategyPack or MotiveWave-Ultimate +addOns or the MotiveWave-Ultimate +addOns is higher than Multicharts +ASP +addOns and then Multicharts +ASP +addOns are higher than NT8 +Bloodhound +Blackbirds +addOns? e.g. Which one of these three is the first>second>third as best to worst?
Which one between these is the best or which two are the best in case if it worth purchasing two of these three software?
For PAS-P I remember I changed it to something that draws the percentages of Fibonacci but then it crashed, I don't use it now. But I think it's possible to make it stably draw the Fibonacci percentages as output. This may help you project what you need for Bloodhound?
I agree with Tangotx, your awesome indicator only lacks said Volume Delta information on top of the Volume value to be even closer to perfection. Thanks for sharing your indicators.
My very limited programming knowledge does not enable me to modify the code to include the addition of all delta values (e.g. obtained with the OrderFlowCumulativeDelta indicator of the NT8 platform) on top of the current swing Volume value.
But I'm wanting to use the indie to simply output various swing metrics to the output screen for analysis elsewhere.
I note that the outputs for the script as is, will plot each New High, or Low as it develops, where I just want to output the metrics of completed swings.
It looks like I might have to write my own to accomplish this, but before I do, I am wondering if anyone else has written one that accomplishes this?
So I built the basic output tool for myself, maybe someone else will have a similar need. Only useful if you are interested in exporting swing stats for analyzing elsewhere.
I am going to add MANY more things for my purposes, but am adding the basic version here that simply outputs the basic Time(time of swing occurrence), Length(in tics of swing) and Duration(in bars of swing).
Anyone that wants more details, should be able to create wheat you need.
The swings are stored in 3 separate lists, that contain the Type(swingHi/Lo), the Bar it occurred on and the Price of each swing.
Installing the indicator will create a folder named "Stats," that's where my indicator will be.
May someone kindly advise on this Price Action Swing indicator's output of Fibonacci levels? It looks like the Fibonacci levels is on Red Box shall be started in the Yellow box as shown in the figure? Does this indicator looks like have a bug or my version is faulty?
I have downloaded the NT8 version, but if there is a Market Analyzer xml file I have not found it. I have the PasMA that was stated for NT7 Will that work in NT8
Also the sound files from the AlertSoundFiles.7z file is for the older type zip app to unzip and I cannot find a copy to use to unzip the sound files
IF ANYONE has a Newer zip files with sound files would be great. OR a rezip in from a newer pc, thanks
