Hello all Glad to be here have found some great information on bm site.

thanks
Hi Iam new here was given your site by a fellow trader like myself, I have been on vacation just getting back j plan to spend time in this room I came in when I was given your site will start going thru
Hi my name is Sam. I have day traded equities for the last 3 years and have managed to stay green on a consistent basis. I would now like to increase my size, explore other types of trading and instruments and just be more successful.
futures.io (formerly BMT) seems to have a good bunch of people from whom I can learn and educate too. I hope to enjoy my experience.
welcome to one of the most productive and informative big mike.
my advice to you is, continue to bag your profitable trading with the same successful setup.
never abandon something productive, profitable for something else that might be more exciting but unproven.... K?
fine tune your profitable setup.... yes; but not replace it or try something that might require several months to ascertain its validity and reliability....
anyway, you are the boss of your own castle.... do whatever pleases you.... our almighty white knight....!
I have been interested in the markets for a long time and I spent a few years messing around with option spread trades with no real consistent results.
After walking away for a while, I am back learning about futures with a goal of finding a consistently profitable day trading approach for the financial index futures. Right now, I am still just sim trading. This website looks like a fantastic resource!
Thanks in advance to all the veteran traders here who are willing to share some advice with the newbies.
it is great that you are not giving up and walking away pretty much undamaged.
but i have to tell you what you are looking for--I am back learning about futures with a goal of finding a consistently profitable day trading approach for the financial index futures....
is only available in the propaganda section of most trading guru who sells consistently profitable setups.... profitable setups that are profitable only for their paid clienteles but not for themselves.... probably that is one main reason why they are selling THE CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLE SETUPS TO ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO PAY FOR WHATEVER SUMS....
actually, there is a guy named boners who also will teach you how to trade profitably if you are willing to pay 9,999 usd for his tutorialship.... but then boners can not tell a live trading from a sim trading chart.... and he can not tell neither what is a russell chart and what is a gold chart.... furthermore, he and his cronies are also sponsors of a certain trading website.... would you be interested in such profitable setup? let us know....
personally, mike, there is no consistently profitable setup in this world. the next best thing is a profitable setup that NOT CONSISTENTLY but more often than not, generates profitable signal that you might use to trade for profitability, but only if you act on it on a timely manner.... and may i remind you, this same profitable setup that brings in bacon this morning session, might turn against you in the afternoon session without mercy... as well....
you might retort, why on earth then, are we here trading? ahhhh.... each of the successful and profitable traders does trade with profitability and consistency.... this i can assure you....;
and you and everyone else could also attain such profitability level.... however, everyone must put in the time.... and do the time in front of your computer screen.... for however long it will take for that person to be able to practically BUY and/or SELL.... EVEN BEFORE the price presents itself.... there is no magic in this uncanny ability.... such unusual ability only comes with long years of learning and with plenty of painful trial and error experiences along the way to the top....
i hope you have the time and the patient to hang around long enough to chat with many more other profitable traders who in their spare time might also lend you a hand toward the next level of proficiency.... good luck and be patient, K? profitability and consistency do exist at the end, but they are individually defined and attained at different profitability level. cheers mike.
this is just a quick note to introduce myself, as i've been using this forum for a while & should have done this introduction much earlier. First of all, a big thanks to Big Mike for his fantastic efforts with the forum, i watched the webinar on Mike & the forum the other night & was highly impressed by Mike's honesty & his passion for both trading & particularly the forum. Secondly a big thanks to all the other users for their posts, comments, indicators & webinars.
As for me, I am not a full time trader, but i would call trading my passion. I trade primarily CL and i have been doing so for a couple of years, i sometimes trade 6E & GC also. My trades are mainly intra day to intra week & can be placed during any of the 3 sessions, the trades that work for me last from 30 mins to 1-2 days. I use elliott wave for my trend direction & keep counts on charts from weekly down to 30 min, using dynamic trader. I also pay attention to harmonic patterns, symmetry & floor pivots. As an entry chart, i use a 10 range ninjatrader chart, with some of the great indicators the guys have posted on this forum. I also use a 5 min gom volume ladder for intrabar volume analysis.
I look forward to participating in the forum & conversing with other traders.
