Hi Mike, I am using the latest version of WinZip (V14) I downloaded it to do this job. I am sure it asked me in set up if I wanted to use it to extract 7z files.
I will try downloading your file again, but as I said it was not mission critical.
Thx
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks to everyone for their help. NinjaTrader just helped me solve the problem. As it turns out, if you have any other files in your "db" directory, it can cause a conflict. Once I removed these extra files (pictured on page 1 of this thread) the market replay feature worked for me.
(In other words, only the numbered folders should be in your "db" directory -- nothing else).
I have data recorded from last week (YM) but can't get market replay to play it.
The market replay box only allows me to click on today's date 12/6/2009.
I'm trying to get it to see 12/1 to 12/4, which I can see via a SbS renko chart.
The chart/data came from BarChart.com in real time.
I've tried a few things but nothing works as yet.
Installation instructions:
1. Unzip to your Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\db\data directory.
2. NinjaTrader should now show the extra dates on the Connect -> Market Replay screen.
==================================================
After I do this and go to Control Center|File|Connect|Market Replay Connection
This will maybe sound silly but... did you press the play button?
If so try to fast forward the data and to test it choose some small timeframe (1min?) or range bars (4)
I major in silly. Well, when I click Market Replay the dropdown menu
disappears. There is no 'vcr' type display to click on. It's like NT didn't
try to do a darn thing. I suspect I didn't extract things correctly or
in some way didn't get the data to where it needs to go. I have posted
at the NT forum to try to record data of the YM each day via barchart.com,
but this will take time of course. (extraction should be banned, all it causes
me is trouble)
I recorded data today (Mon.). Market replay worked, for the first time.
Very interesting actually. I don't know how SbS Renko works, but I have
posted my question here:
I have spent some time with SbS Renko lately. (Median Renko would be simpler to
understand, however the only programmer I know of that can do it isn't selling it.)
I have enclosed a screen shot that roonius (the programmer of SbS Renko) has
posted. …
There is no generic Renko charting that will work to my knowledge, so if anyone
hears of it that will work correctly within a strategy I'd like to hear about it.
