CDA in a nut shell it's all about the cache files. Your volume profile analysis is very easy because there is no waiting for charts to load complex comp data crunching CPU intensive indicators. Not familiar with Sierra Charts but I doubt they make use of a cache files. So switching chart time frames, say for example, 10000 volume bars on ES to 60 min then to 120 min then to 240 takes no time only the bars have to load basically not all the tick data to make all the comps and sessions profile because they all load very fast from the cache file on your drive. Solid-state drive. No waiting everything works smoothly. Plus as @JonnyBoy pointed out it's very customizable.

SC already Caches all data so vol profiles shouldn't have any load time, providing you have previously downloaded all the tick data you require.
I was more curious about what the actual feature benefits were, I thought there could be something unique hidden in there.

I can look into this later this weekend for you......
NT7 and 8 both store tick data minute and day. NT8 does this better than NT7 as well. But, a cache file is diff. Just a text file and this alone is much faster for the indicator to get at than the data stored inside Ninja.
