I am at a point in my life where I feel that sharing my ideas would be helpful to everybody who walks this trading path. Hence I am starting this journal.
I will also be starting a TopStepTrader Trading Combine (Profit Target $3000 in 10 Days; Max …
My journalling began in 2012 in this very contest and now it is time for me to enter the new nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) Journalling contest for October 2014.
Father of two girls, a software guy by the day, I try to put in as much time as I can possibly gather into my honing my scalping method. For me staying true to my process is more important.
Winning a contest takes hard work; that says something about the quality of journals here on Big Mike.
Please Put a "Thanks" - if you do I can win one of three 150,000 combines at TopstepTrader.
As a full disclaimer, if I win, I will be gifting my prize to @indextrader7
Let the journalling start full throttle, may the best person win!
I will toss my journal into the ring. It is mostly about Canadian Stocks for long term equity trades and I have a fantasy portfolio of stocks that I have updated twice a week since I joined in Feb of this year. I discuss the reasons for my stock choices and discuss my brand of Technical Analysis which is old school for the most part but I apply it in ways you may find interesting. As well I refer to some basic fundamental analysis which I find useful in separating the good from the bad and ugly.
My handle is "Underexposed" which makes the title a bit provocative I suppose but I have used this handle for several years now and some people may recognize me because of it.
This is a great site and primarily devoted to American stocks. …
Or if you want current thoughts, here is the the page at the beginning of this contest

I hope you find my journal interesting to read
I should add that if I am successful in winning one of these prizes I will be gifting the prize to another journal poster.
My love is crude oil, I trade it exclusively, with market profile and volume profile with volume imbalances.
In my journal I post S/R zones for the day around pit open, post my trades, P&L, and a review of the day as well.
My goal is to make 3.000 / month with trading maximum 5 contracts of CL.
I start this thread to discipline myself :)
The problem is, I often skip to do my homework before the open, and nearly always miss to study my trades at the end of the day.
I studied stocks, ETFs, CFDs, options, and I finally fell in love with the oil …

If my journal is useful to you, press a ’Thanks’ on this post, so I can win one of the prizes.
Starting this journal for the October 2014 futures.io (formerly BMT) Journaling contest. Started reading books in June 2014, paper trading in July, and live trading at the end of August. I've essentially blown up a 5k account trading the ES using …
I want to start my trading jounal. The reason for do it is that i learned some new concepts a year ago, more and less. Now i feel ready for journaling that with the intentions to find a consistency and see my weak areas and where i have strenght …
Like most of you i have a dream and maybe this can be the begin of this one. Hope you find it useful and push the thank's button.
I glad to participate in the community of the best traders. And having chance to look how the Market Wizards have grown into consistent profitable traders starting from Beginners i decided that a Journal really helps to develop as a proffesional trader. …
WOW! This one started 2 and a half years ago on the LAST JOURNAL COMPETITION. On invitation from @Big Mike
I decided to start my own journal here.
Result:
It helped a lot!
And brought over 100'000 page views in this time.
For only a journal on not many trades per week and only on one instrument. Thanks again to all the followers,
contributors and silent readers.
What makes this journal different to other journals here on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT)?
The trades are all taken on a specific time - runs and exits on another specific time (daytrade) and is announced
BEFORE taking the trade.
Special is that the post of the trade is developing: announcement, then entry price and then exit price with the resulting points. So only the reader who is online can watch how the trade and win or loss are developing. This journal is
most transparent as actions are not noted after but before and during the trade.
Consistent journaling as well as good risk management is key to success - the results can be seen in the journal
each year end.
A trading journal requires some discipline and provides insight in your activity
when posted online on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) it allows other traders to post helpful comments
or questions that lead to introspection and improvement
While my journal's activity is part of a larger effort and also
depends on my other professional activities
i will try to take the chance/challenge to update it more actively in October
I have found a lot of valuable information on futures.io (formerly BMT) and wanted to create my personal trading journal showing how i have combined several tools into somethings that works for myself.
My first experience with trading goes back 30 years …
